From Oaxaca, Mexico, this species produces large flowers from short stems. Those stems, which are thin, ribbed, and gray-green in color, arise from large underground tubers. We seriously doubt this plant is frost hardy. The nocturnal flowers are white. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
