This clumping species is from northern Argentina. Like many within this genus, which some consider to be Echinopsis, the plants have numerous ribs on the yellow-green body and numerous yellow-white spines. This night-blooming species produces large white flowers with purple tones. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
