This wand-like species is from southern Arizona with a range into northern Mexico. It commonly occurs in the desert grassland, often along roadsides or in washes. The small flowers are numerous and white, attracting butterflies, and the plants are hardy to perhaps 15F. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
