From southern Madagascar, this strange species has thing, string-like stems that are covered with irregular tubercles. In some ways, the stems have a surface that might have resulted from dripping a gray-green wax down a cylindrical stem. The flowers are equally odd but are an inconspicuous yellow-green. This species is easy to grow and forms a great hanging plant. These plants are rooted stems in 6-inch pots.
