This weird succulent, from the coastal and inland areas of eastern Kenya and other parts of East Africa, has to be one of the strangest -- and hardest to kill -- plant in collections. Do not buy it for the flowers, because they are an inconspicuous green. Cultivar Black Raven has very dark leaves. These plants are rooted offsets in 5-inch pots.
