This dimorphic species, from Madagascar, has sprawling juvenile branches that morph into mature, upright trunks. Related to D. trollii, it has thinner stems and smaller leaves, and it may just be a form of that species. The spines on these plants are very sharp. The branches have nearly linear green leaves that make this a very pretty and easily grown species. We offer rooted cuttings of this species in 4-inch pots.
