From the Kariba District of Zimbabwe, and hence the epithet, this species is a medium-sized tree with drooping branches bearing tendrils. The trunk is light green and smooth, and the leaves are 3-5 lobed and roughly circular in outline. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
