This species, from the Namib Desert of northern Namibia, develops a large spherical caudex. The caudex produces many slender, gray stems with a few obovate blue-green leaves. This is an incredibly slow-growing species that is extremely beautiful. These plants are rooted cuttings in 4-inch pots.
