This species is widespread in south-central Kenya, extending southwards into northern Tanzania. Some consider this to be Adenia globosa ssp. curvata. The body of the plant is a uniform green with no thorns, and the long, curving branches are less spiny than A. globosa. We do not know the sex of these plants, but they may from a normal caudex with time. These plants are rooted cuttings in 4-inch pots.
