This shrubby, spiny Euphorbia, from central and southwestern Madagascar, is named for its superficial resemblance to members of the genus Didierea, which grows in the same area. Like many within the E. milii group, this species has red-tinged green leaves. However, it differs with regard to its stout stem and spines and its orange-yellow cyathia. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
