Euphorbia trigona is not known from the wild, but the plant clearly must have originated either in India or Angola, given its affinities to plants in those diverse parts of the Euphorbia range. The triangular stems bear deciduous leaves at the tips, and this species is not known to flower. These plants are rooted cuttings in 2-gallon pots.
