From Kenya and northern Tanzania, this recently described species is similar to C. adeyana with some notable exceptions. The stem is considered to be 8-sided – four sides of flat green surface separated by four sides of white. Unlike C. adeyana, the green sides are not indented into the stem. These plants are rooted cuttings in 5-inch pots.
