This species is from South Africa, and these plants are propagated from material collected by Ernst van Jaarsveld (EVJ 35). Once called S. microphylla, it has light green leaves with smooth surfaces and yellow-white mottling. Those leaves arise from large roots, which create multiple offsets in this species. These plants are rooted offsets in one-gallon pots.
