From the mountains of northwest Yemen, this species is a cliff hanging plant with green, spotted leaves and panicles of red flowers that are produced in the fall. We’re dubious that these plants actually are A. yemenica (we got the material from California), but they do roughly match the characters of the species. We’ve grown these plants outside in Tucson for many years, and it takes significant frost. This species took significant damage at 23F but was not killed at 18F. These plants are rooted cuttings in one-gallon pots.
