Brief Description: |
The acaulescent, rhizomatous, and clumping perennial has 2-5 leaves in a rosette. The dull dark green leaves with wavy margins are spreading, stiff, and up to 100 cm long and 21 cm wide. The smooth leaves are broadly U-shaped with numerous shallow channels but no central channel. The leaves have a thin margin that is red-brown and have a dull tip. The inflorescence is 38.5 cm tall and capitate with 2 - 3 flowers per cluster. Both the filaments and style are exserted with the style about 2 mm longer. |
Similar Species: |
Sansevieria sumbawangana is somewhat unique within the genus but has affinities to Sansevieria bhitala and S. kirkii. |
