Sansevieria subtilis N.E. Brown

Etymology: The epithet refers to the fine and delicate small flowers.
Distribution: Uganda.
Brief Description: This is an acaulescent and rhizomatous species with 2 - 4 erect or slightly recurved leaves that are linear - lanceolate, 53-69 cm long, and 2.5-4.5 cm wide with a 5-25 cm long channelled petiole. The leaves are green and smooth with a green margin, and the lower surface occasionally has faint transverse bands. The inflorescence is 38-53 cm tall and simple with 2 - 3 flowers per cluster.
Similar Species: Sansevieria subtilis bears some resemblance to Sansevieria dawei and other species from Uganda. What is in cultivation as Sansevieria subtilis bears little resemblance to the plants that occur in the wild.
