Etymology: This species is named for the Sebei people of eastern Uganda.
Distribution: Eastern Uganda near Mount Elgon.
Brief Description: This is an acaulescent, narrow-leaf rhizomatous species with 2-5 nearly linear leaves 31-110 cm long by 2.-4.3 cm wide. The leaf base is slightly narrowed, and the leaves are erect to spreading, often bending near the midpoint. The smooth medium-green leaves are broadly guttered, and taper to an acute soft tip. The inflorescence is simple, 35-78 cm tall and about a 0.8 cm wide. The fertile portion is about 2/3rds of the inflorescence length and is densely flowered with 2-5 flowers per cluster.
Similar Species: Sansevieria sebeiorum is related to other Ugandan species, particularly Sansevieria nilotica and S. subtilis, but those species occur in central and southern Uganda.
