The smooth gray-green leaves have a thin reddish margin, are broadly guttered, and taper to a soft tip. Sansevieria marumaru is related to other Tanzanian species, particularly Sansevieria braunii from western Tanzania and S. vanillosa from southeastern Tanzania. Unlike those species, the flowers of Sansevieria marumaru do not have a faint vanilla smell and the inflorescence is capitate, not subcapitate as for those other species. |
