Sansevieria lalakana T. Cole & T.G. Forrest

Etymology: This species is named for Lalak Rock, a geological feature in eastern Uganda.
Distribution: Eastern Uganda.
Brief Description: This is an acaulescent, narrow-leaf rhizomatous species with 2-4 lanceolate leaves 30-42 cm long by 2.8-3.1 cm wide. The leaves are erect to spreading, often bending near the midpoint. The smooth medium-green leaves have lighter colored bands and blotches and are broadly guttered with a soft tip. The color, banding, and blotches are highly variable among individual plants. The inflorescence is simple and 39-64 cm tall with 2-3 flowers per cluster.
Similar Species: Sansevieria lalakana is related to S. coleana.
