This is probably an undescribed species from near Mwitingi, Tanzania (Bhitala 1030). This species has broad, smooth leaves that occur in 1-2 sets. These leaves are relatively short and highly patterned, and the plant resembles an S. elliptica but much smaller and with no roughness. These plants are rooted offsets in one-gallon pots.
