Ranging from tropical East Africa south into South Africa, this Sansevieria is proliferous from tubers. The long lanceolate leaves are dark green with light and obscure banding and are smooth to the touch. The leaf surface has a metallic sheen to it, hence the name. The inflorescence can be a large spike of white flowers. These plants are rooted offsets in 5-gallon pots.
