This is a highly variable species from the Western Cape Province of South Africa that is clearly related to the E. mammillaris complex. Our plants have few species and many flutes on the brown-green body, and both characters differentiate this species from E. fimbrialis and E. cumulata. These plants are rooted cuttings in 2-inch pots.
