Taxonomically, this plant is difficult to place, because some think it a hybrid and others place it within Stapelia. Where it is placed is somewhat irrelevant, because this interesting succulent Asclepiad, from western South Africa, is one of the hardiest succulents we know about. Recently, in Tucson, our plants took 23F with full exposure and no damage. These plants are seedlings in 2-inch pots.
