From the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, this geophytic Euphorbia produces a large caudex that can be exposed. The plot produces numerous radiating branches from the tip, and the spiny branches are 2-5 angled and slight variegation. The cyathia are yellow-green. These plants are seedlings in 2-inch pots.
