From Tanzania, this shrubby Monadenium has a trunk with shredding, brown bark. The leaves are crisped with a light red margin. The cyathia are tinged with red. This species breaks dormancy in June, making it one of the last species to respond to the onset of spring and summer in our greenhouses. These plants are cuttings in 3-inch pots.
