This Manfreda is from a broad range of the Chihuahuan Desert, ranging from south Texas to Veracruz, Mexico. This species has purple spots on the leaves, making it quite distinctive. It puts up an large inflorescence in the spring. We’ve grown this species in the ground in Tucson, where it withstands heavy frost and severe drought. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
