This subspecies of the common Lithops lesliei is found in the Great Karoo of South Africa (C308). Subspecies burchellii tends to be smaller than the typical species with darker heads and occurs near the southwestern margin of the distribution of L. lesliei. The flowers are yellow. These plants are seedlings in 2-inch pots.
