Agave shawii ssp. shawii one-gallon pots

From coastal Baja California, extending into southern California, this species generally is solitary but may produce limited offsets. The rosette resembles a giant artichoke, with closely appressed leaves bearing red-black, highly variable spines. The panicle is broad and bears bright yellow flowers. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
