From the Sierra de la Gigante in Baja California Sur, Mexico, this solitary species has relatively wide, gray-green leaves with large teeth on the margins. We think this gray-green plant is actually the real thing. Our plants have withstood 23F in Tucson undamaged. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
