This may well be the original incense from Yemen. Collected only from Boswellia socotrana on Socotra, this is the only grade of product available in the countryside of that island. It most commonly is burned in incense burners, with a smell familiar to anyone who has spent significant time in certain places of worship, although it does have other medicinal purposes. We do not recommend oral consumption of any product we sell. We sell Socotri frankincense in one-ounce bags (28 g).
