Clearly a bridge species to the genus Titanopsis, this dwarf mesemb, from the Great Karoo of South Africa, has succulent leaves arising from a thick woody caudex. This species, closely related to A. luckhoffii, has white warts that are numerous towards the end of the spathulate leaves. The flower is a pale yellow with a yellow center of stamens. These plants are seedlings in 2-inch pots.
