This subspecies of Senecio talinoides, which is from the Western Cape Province of South Africa, has an unknown origin. Its leaves are stubbier than the typical S. talinoides, and like that species produces a dense ground cover. The flowers are white with yellow stamens. This species likely is of marginal frost hardiness in Tucson. These plants are rooted cuttings in one-gallon pots.
