This is the classic incense from Yemen and Oman. Collected only from Boswellia sacra grown in the hyperarid zone, this is grade 1 product purchased in the suq in the Old City Sanaa. Most commonly burned in incense burners, with a smell familiar to anyone who has spent significant time in certain places of worship, the pieces are also chewed as gum and are used for other medicinal purposes. We do not recommend oral consumption of any product we sell. We sell frankincense in one-ounce bags (28 g).
