This species is one of the largest of the blue-green Agaves, and it is of unknown origin in Mexico. Although it superficially resembles Agave americana in color, the rosettes of this species are much larger and the leaves are narrower, longer, and with more interesting marginal spination. These plants are drought and frost hardy in Tucson. We offer rooted offsets of this species in 3-gallon pots.
