This is supposed to be synonymous with Parodia erinacea, but well keep it separate for now. Distributed in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, this solitary species has is a green body with appressed whit spines. As with most species in the larger Parodia group, the flowers are noteworthy and are a showy yellow. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
