These plants are from the only locality for this variety, a place called Montagu southeast of Anysberg, Western Cape Province of South Africa. These plants rarely offset and are slow growing, and this variety characteristically has incurved leaves, creating a “bird cage” appearance. These plants are rooted offsets in 2-inch pots.
