This species, which is unusual enough to be possibly in its own genus Prepodesma, is from the Northern Province of South Africa. It shows affinities among Prepodesma, Aloinopsis, and Nananthus and indicates just how close these genera are. The leaves are olive-green and distinctly keeled, and the flowers are yellow with pinkish highlights. These plants are seedlings in 5-inch pots.
