This recently described species is from Chipenge part of the Chimanimani Mountains of Zimbabwe and is mentioned in Chahinian (2004). It is characterized by long green leaves that tend to fold over and have a distinctive reddish margin. This species resembles S. frequens, only the leaves are much larger and longer. These plants are rooted offsets in 5-gallon pots.
