This medium-to-large rosette species is from a small area on the south and southeast sides of the Sierra San Pedro Martir in Baja California Norte. Although both solitary and prolifically offsetting forms can be viewed in the same area, these plants came from material collected from the solitary ones, which more closely matches Gentry‘s description. The leaves are a uniform medium green color and are deeply guttered. The white teeth are held on a relatively straight white leaf margin. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
